Quality time...

I've tried really hard this summer to make it a point to spend quality time with my children. Every evening I have to work or study for a few hours and so the daytime is my opportunity to create memories and be with my babies. I love summertime and do not want it to end. Chris has been so supportive when I have to be busy at night. He helps with the kids so much and never complains about me being gone. I'm so grateful.

The fair...

Why do I love the fair? I mean...what's to love, really? Overpriced tickets....overpriced food. Long lines. But I cannot lie...I love the fair despite all that. Maybe it's because I was obsessed with the movie Charlottes Web when I was a kid, or maybe it's because fair makes me feel nostalgic...maybe it's because my kids get so excited looking forward to it. Maybe it's because I love elephant ears. Either way...I love it and always will.

Being an example...

It's a really sweet thing when you find little girl running clothes at thrift stores and your girls BEG you to go running with you. I guess they're watching me...I forget that sometimes.

Summertime...

I cherish Summertime. It means uninterrupted time with my children. It means icecream when you feel like it, and if it gets on your clothes? No biggie. It means board games, sitting on the porch swing, sleeping in, and best of all....staying up late and watching movies together. It means memories.

So that's why you're so amazing...

I'm not gonna lie...I have a husband that is truly wonderful. Perfect?? No. But wonderful, and always trying? Yes. Everytime we spend time with his side of the family, I can see why he's so good.

We spent about 4 days in Utah for his family reunion and I marvel at the fact that all of his beautiful siblings and his lovely mother have such strong family ties. All of my husband brothers are just like him. Loyal, loving, caring, selfless. Loyal. Loyal. Loyal. Sorry but the loyal part cannot be said enough. If you're married to a chapman boy, you know without a doubt that you are enough, and he'll never treat you as less than that. That's a beautiful feeling.

I'm thankful for the good genes he has been blessed with. I'm thankful to his family for being good, humble people. I'm thankful to his mother and father most of all for raising him with traditional values. I'm proud to be a chapman gal.

Cute bums...

Remember this delightful game? Remember when you yourself could twist and turn without a thought? No pain, or aches? Golly...to be young again...

Guess who's getting a dollar under their pillow?

Looks like we are one tooth away from singing "all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth." How I wish that song were true...it sure would save me a lot of money at Christmas time. Sheesh, I love this little girls smile.

My new best friend is....

The pool. I'm not usually that hip on swimming at pools but like I've mentioned...I'm living in a boiling pot so of course a cold pool is going to be the love of my life....I've also absolutely loved hanging out with the kids, swimming, living in bathing suites, eating homemade frozen Popsicles made out of Apple juice. Playing the game of Life and Clue. All those feel good summer time things that make summer time perfectly amazing.
