San Diego with my one true love...

I don't know why it took me 18 years to figure out that leaving the kids for a short time would be advantageous to my marriage but better late than never, right?? Chris has wanted to have a getaway for quite a while and so I finally gave in and he asked his mom to come out and watch out for my little hens.

We spent five lovely days in San Diego. The sun shined...we went to bed at 1:00am every night...slept in as late as we wanted. Made out a heck of a lot....and just loved....absolutely LOVED laughing together. We could talk without being interrupted. It. Was. Wonderful.

Here's the best part...we loved our kids more when we came home. And even weirder? They loved each other more. It's like they had a special bonding moment that never happens when mom and dad are around. Win/win for all.

Love u Chris. I can honestly say that you make my life beautiful.

They really DO like each other...

For a couple of boys that argue and scrap as much as they do, it was a dream come true when I looked over this morning and connor was helping christian tie his tie. Needless to say, my heart swelled.

Will you go out with me?

It's date time again, where we take turns every week allowing each child a dinner date with mom and dad. Six weeks (six children) of sharing our date night time, but it's worth it getting this one on one time.

We took little grace to our favorite pizza place. She's such a sweet loving girl. Having her in our family is a true blessing indeed. Love you, goose egg.

I'm confused...but I'll take it...

What's up with this Oregon weather? It was 70 degrees today and usually this time of year it's much colder than that. The kids and I went hiking today and it was amazing being outside with no jacket, no rain, and no cold. I'm just praying this lasts because when the sun is shining, my mood becomes really, really cheery. I like that...kids like that...and husband likes that. It's a win, win.
