I'm not really a snapchat kind of girl but I'm really kind of thankful for it...how else would I get filled in on college gossip from my daughter?

P.S not really...Connor is getting whitening trays, but I think I might be onto something...

Sisterhood...

If I could thanks my parents for one thing, tonight it would be for having me share a bed most of my childhood with my sisters. There's something about sleeping by your best friend that creates bonds that are simply unbreakable.

Adventures...

As I've mentioned...we've gotten lots and lots of snow. My friend showed up at my house this morning and informed me that she was taking Austin and I on a grand adventure. And a grand adventure it was. We went to a beautiful waterfall hike that is 4 miles round trip. I never realized how much endurance you need to trudge through snow. It felt great to have some blood pumping and be doing something besides sitting in the house, snowbound. 

P.S Austin is a rockstar and didn't even breathe heavy one time. Miracle man, plain and simple.

Hard work...

One of my most favorite things about my husband is the fact that he knows how to work. In fact, he's not really happy unless he's working doing something. It could be his job, or yard work, or even cooking at times. He just wants to work. Austin and Christian were given jobs to shovel snow today (since we are living in a snow nightmare) and I was so proud of how hard they worked like their dad. Austin didn't leave one inch of driveway unshoveled and Christian worked for three hours straight shoveling our porches and stairs. The only thing he requested was a glass of water (which melted my heart, by the way.) My husband doesn't realize this but he's an excellent example to our children, and I'll forever be grateful to him for that.

Snow bound...

Don't let these smiles fool you. School has been canceled and we've been home bound for many days. It didn't help that right when winter break ended, kids didn't really ever seem to go back to school. However, as crazy as we've been feeling, we've made many fun memories. Lots and LOTS of board games. Even super Mario competitions (and I don't even like video games.) But desperate times calls for desperate measures. And truth be told, it's actually kind of cozy being stuck in a house full of kids with no where to go. Yes....I'm a crazy person.

P.S Connor is on a school trip to San Diego and we are all jealous of him...

My beloved Alabama lost the national championship tonight. It was a little depressing, I won't lie. To grace? It was just boring.
