See that kid in white attempting to block my son in blue? Ya, he wasn't successful. White is blocking him because Connor stopped the running back 5 times during the game today. I was a proud mama. We may have lost in the end but we went down fighting and as far as personal records go, this was Connors best game to date.

Date night...
It's hard to get alone time when you are one of six siblings but once in a while we make it happen. We took Christian to pizzicato. One of the yummiest pizza places in town. He enjoyed every minute of it and so did we!

Strong love...
Scarlett and I stayed home from church yesterday because she had a fever. While grace was at church she drew this pic of her and her sister and if you can't translate what she wrote it says "I hope my little sister is safe." I loved this. You know what I disagree with? There's so many movies these days portraying siblings hating each other or being just down right mean or rude to each other. As a mother of six children I can say that this is an untrue depiction in many cases. Siblings can love each other. Yes they will argue and disagree and even be mean sometimes...but for the most part love is present. Worry for one another is there. Concern for each other is huge. And having fun together and loving every minute of it...really DOES happen. If this weren't the case then my heart would be really sad. I'm grateful for real love in our home.

Corn on the cob...
Spending a lovely evening in this warm weather shucking corn with my two youngest girls. Can't wait to sink my teeth into some.

Scarlett growing and learning...
Scarlett began her first year of ballet today. As quiet as she is, she has been counting down the days. Watching grace all last year at ballet made her super excited to start as well. So proud of her for doing this, for coming out of her comfort zone and allowing herself to grow.

Last adventure...
So I had no intentions of boating this weekend but after running with my best friend this morning and hearing of her family going I became filled with jealousy and envy and we headed out to meet them. I'm so glad we did. Watching them tube and ski and swim and laugh is so rewarding.
My little stud....
It probably won't surprise you to know that Connor wasn't too excited about me taking his picture with his football buddies around. Today was his first game of the season. He played mostly the whole game (which is a big difference from last year) and he does great on offense but in my opinion is AMAZING on defense. He can knock down kids twice his size. He's not afraid to take a hit. Now if I can just keep him from getting injured I will be a happy girl.

They are gone...
I never thought it could or would happen. I have 6 children in school. I dropped them all off on Tuesday and went running. Usually I have to run at night and it felt like a miracle to be running in the day time with no children. I missed them greatly and my heart even hurt a little at first but it's getting easier and easier. And I must say its even kind of enjoyable at times. As long as they are happy then I guess I could get used to this new chapter.
