The dreaded...

This is what I like to call "pure evil." Not halee's scary selfie, but the...da da da dum..."school supply list" ahhhhhh! I hate these lists. If you have a couple of kids you have to do this for, I'd like you to close your eyes and picture yourself at walmart doing this for SIX kids. Nightmare on elm street...that pretty much sums it up. Luckily, the bright light at the end of the tunnel means, kids in school soon. Back to normal life. No more fighting. No more killing each other. No more stabbings....ok that's going a little far.

I scream you scream...

I love living in a town where you can go to quaint little icecream shops and eat downtown and people watch. Most of all I love doing that with these cutie pies.

Memory...

I read recently about nerve impulses related to the smell receptors. Apparently these receptors are closely associated with the part of the brain important in memory and emotion.

Sometimes I smell smells from my childhood and it's literally like being there again. It's very surreal and I even get homesick once in a while when this happens. Like biscuits from my Mamaws kitchen. When I smell biscuits, it's always going to trigger that part of my brain that remembers and cherishes this memory.

I kind of felt this way when my dad sent me this pic the other day. How grateful I am that when I see this photo I feel joy, safety, love, happiness. It makes me miss those days so much. I'm blessed that I had a good and wonderful childhood.

Here's the scary part...my parents were 6 years younger than I am now...gahhhh!!!!

You can eat crackers in my bed anytime...

Forgot about this little gem of a photo that we took when my two sisters, niece and brother, along with my sisters  boyfriend and his kiddos visited. It was super hot everywhere in the house except in my room...so we all piled up on my bed and laughed our heads off. My niece and I realized that chris was missing (since he was behind the lense) but then she quickly noted him in the pic above our bed...so even Chris was in the photo...in a weird kind of way.

Baby teeth...

My baby lost her first tooth today. For some reason I feel like she's still only two years old, and yet she's proving me wrong by going and doing a thing like this. She's been asking me all week in a whisper "is my tooth ready to come out yet?" And each time I wiggle it and say "not yet, but very soon." Well, when I checked it today it was time. She was so brave...she let me wiggle and gently twist it for a good 15 minutes before it finally gave up the ghost. I love this sweet girl. She's going to wake up a happy girl with her dollar under her pillow.

More family...

We have been so lucky this year to have so much family visiting. Chris' brother and his family, along with his mom and sister have been here for several days. I'm one of those girls who is really lucky to love my in laws. But as great as Chris is (I'm kinda partial) I'm not surprised.
